Are you aged 18-30 trying to figure out
your next steps and what to do with your life?

Can't figure out who you want to be or how to get moving?
—and it feels impossible to make decisions, let alone feel confident in them?

Does your team need a better understanding of

disability inclusion.

Are you looking for strategies to improve  equity diversity, and inclusion?

Through a critical disability lens,

we provide information, strategies, and resources

you can put to work for more successful

students, clients, and employees.

Let's be honest and clear:
the world today isn’t the same one your parents grew up in.

➤ Jobs look different.
➤ Education costs more.
➤ Housing is out of reach for many.
➤ Social media puts pressure on every choice.
➤ And the old, straight-line path—school, work, house, family—doesn’t match what you want (or what’s even possible).

Maybe you’ve heard things like:

  • “Just pick something.”
  • “You have so many options!”
  • “When I was your age, I already had a job and a house.”

But that advice? It doesn’t fit the world you’re living in.

You might be feeling:

  • Overwhelmed by choices.
  • Frustrated by barriers (like disability, anxiety, or lack of resources).
  • Afraid of making the wrong move.
  • Like you should be further ahead by now—but you're not even sure where "ahead" is.

Feeling unsure isn’t a flaw — it’s a signal that YOU ARE ready for something more aligned, more meaningful, and more YOU.

What Is The Real Problem?

If you’re overwhelmed by all the choices and don’t know where to start—or you keep starting and stopping—you’re not broken. You’re just trying to figure things out in a world that doesn’t make it easy.

If you’re running into barrier like anxiety, disability, money, or lack of support—you’re not imagining it. Those are real challenges. I see them. I’ve worked with people facing them. And I know there are ways forward, even if they’re slower or less obvious.

If you’re scared of making the wrong move, I get it. Nobody wants to waste time or energy, especially when you’re already feeling stuck. But momentum doesn’t come from finding the perfect path—it comes from finding the next right step.

And if you feel like you should be further ahead by now but you’re not even sure what "ahead" means anymore... you're not alone. So many people your age feel the same way—and most of them just need a space to think out loud, test ideas, and take action with someone in their corner.

So, the problem isn't you. The problem is that you just need some guidance and support.

The good news is: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

That's Where I Come In.
I am Alyson Seale.
Founder of the Guide On The Side coaching program.

I help young adults figure out what matters to them, take doable steps forward, and build a life that fits them, not someone else’s checklist.

No pressure. No judgment. Just real support and guided steps—from someone who 'gets it'.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

What is Guide On the Side and how do I help you?

First of all, it starts with a place where we can be honest and that feels safe.

Secondly, it requires a process that adapts to you. And someone who will walk beside you as you figure out what matters—and how to move toward it, one doable step at a time.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need a place to start, someone on your side, and a plan that feels like yours

You’ll have a supportive, non-judgmental guide walking alongside you—not pushing or pulling, but helping you stay on track, celebrate wins, and adjust when life happens. It’s your path—we just help light the way.

Why am I the Person to Get You Started?

First of all, I have a Masters degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. That means I am trained to understand complex barriers - personal, social, and systemic - and how to actually work through them, not just talk about them. I KNOW how to spot patterns, shift mindsets, and build momentum from the smallest wins.

I have spent over 36 years walking alongside people—especially those who’ve been told they don’t fit the mold—and helping them move forward in ways that do fit them.

I have worked with young adults, families, and people with disabilities in all kinds of life situations, and I have seen firsthand how powerful it can be when someone has the right support, at the right time, without judgment.

But what makes the biggest difference?
I don't come in as the expert on you. You’re the expert on you.
I am here as Your Guide on the Side: steady, honest, creative, and real. I help you name what matters, take action, and build confidence through practice, not pressure.

This isn’t therapy. It’s not school.
It’s a working partnership—flexible, personal, and focused on what you want next.

If you're ready to move—even just a little—I’m ready to walk with you.

That’s what I offer:
A place to be honest. A process that adapts to you. And someone who will walk beside you as you figure out what matters—and how to move toward it, one doable step at a time.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need a place to start, someone on your side, and a plan that feels like yours.
